The Warren, Washington & Albany Counties Chapter ARC is hosting a series of drive-thru residential parades next week.
The Parade of Employees will form at the Quaker Road facility on Tuesday, May 19th and Wednesday, May 20th, both to step off at 10:30am. The Tuesday parade will serve the Warren County residences, and Wednesday’s will focus on Washington County. Executive Director Dan Murray says that they “are looking forward to decorating our vehicles and being able to travel to all of our residences to bring some joy and excitement to the people we support and our staff. During this unique and challenging time we want everyone within the WWAARC family to know that we are here for them and we appreciate everything they are doing.”
The many day service programs that the WWAARC offers has been put on hold since the statewide shutdown as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The parade route will feature “Heroes Work Here ” signs to show staff appreciation, and to thank surrounding communities which understand the daily selfless acts of the frontline staff.
The WWAARC is also hosting a drive-thru residential parade in Albany County, to take place this Friday, May 15th starting at their Ravena facility at 10:30am.
