The Hudson Falls and Kingsbury parades will return the streets of the village and town this Memorial Day. First will be the Kingsbury Parade, which forms at the Hudson Falls High School and heads to the Moss Street Ceremony by way of Route 4.
The procession will then head to the Veterans Memorial Monument at Jucket Park before forming at the Margaret Murphy Kindergarten Center for the second parade through the streets of Hudson Falls on down to Fort Edward.
After arriving at Union Cemetery, ceremonies will take place at American Legion Post 574 on Pearl Street for the final ceremony. During the parades, Route 4 will be closed to traffic so that all parade floats can safely participate in the festivities, with traffic bound for Fort Edward urged to seek alternate routes, such as Burgoyne Avenue for traffic coming in from Washington County or Fort Edward Road for Warren and Saratoga County traffic.
Any businesses or floats interested in participating in the parade can contact Parade Chairman Timothy Guyett at 518-307-7519.
