Glens Falls announces Championship Parade

The Glens Falls School District announces a parade to honor the district's State Champions over the past Winter Sports season.

The "City of Champions" parade will honor the Boys Basketball team, who won the Class A State Championship after beating Section 5's Wayne this past Saturday at the Cool Insuring Arena; the Adirondack United Girls Hockey team, who won the State Regional Championship title last month out in Utica, and Piper Dock, who claimed the Alpine Ski championship.

The Parade will step off at 5:00pm from Glens Falls High School, traveling down Sherman Street to the intersection of Glen Street next to the Stewart's Shops.  Then the parade will proceed down Glen Street on down through Downtown to Centennial Circle, exiting on Ridge Street to travel past City Hall and come to an end on Maple Street at City Park.

Expect heavier traffic with those wanting to honor the city's State Champions through the city streets, and through traffic trying to make their way through the City of Glens Falls during the parade time on Glen Street, Ridge Street and Warren Street.
