Last week wasn't a disastrous week, but I did start with X's on my first four picks as I picked all the Thanksgiving games incorrectly and did not change my app pick from Philadelphia to Chicago before the game so that was seen as a loss as well. But I did finish up the week 9-7, so a winning week at least.
But it was a better week for LUIS FRIAS from Hartford, who went 12-4 and won after the New England Patriots defeated the New York Giants. This clinched Luis his second win for the season, another $50 Bogie's Pub & Grill gift certificate. Congratulations, Luis!
Now that the turkey's been served and the traditional Thanksgiving games are done, we return to one final week with byes for the season. Let's take a look at Week 14 of the NFL, and please note - picks are for entertainment purposes and should not be used for anything but that.
Dallas Cowboys at Detroit Lions - Thursday, 8;15pm, Prime Video
Dallas is the hot hand, having won three straight. The last two wins over the two teams who made it to the final week of the postseason in February. Detroit was ice cold on Thanksgiving when they faced Green Bay. At least both teams will have equal amount of rest coming in, a full 7 days.
Rick's Pick: Dallas
Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons - Sunday, 1:00pm
Atlanta got gut-punched as Nick Folk walked it off for the New York Jets last Sunday at Met Life Stadium. Seattle was gift-wrapped a win from the Minnesota Vikings when an undrafted quarterback had to calm down his nerves against an NFL defense and cracked under pressure. But when you have talent, it's going to look as easy as Seattle made it.
Rick's Pick: Seattle
Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens - Sunday, 1:00pm
Both teams coming off uncomfortable losses. Pittsburgh fell hard in the 2nd half to the Buffalo Bills. Baltimore had a tough time in a divisional tilt with Cincinnati as Joe Burrow made his return after missing 10 weeks due to his Turf Toe injury. It felt like the Ravens were getting things figured out after a slow start to the season. Pittsburgh grabbed Adam Thielen off wavers after Minnesota waived him to bolster their wide receiver corps but will Thielen be ready in time?
Rick's Pick: Baltimore
Tennessee Titans at Cleveland Browns - Sunday, 1:00pm
This game exists. I can easily see this game going either way but I'm not feeling strong about who will come out ... on top? One could argue coming out on top would mean improving one's draft position, so even that's debatable.
Rick's Pick: Cleveland
Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars - Sunday, 1:00pm
The Colts have lost 3 of their last 4 games now that they are in the heart of the schedule that determines just how good this team truly is. Jonathan Taylor has been cooled off some, Daniel Jones has shown some of his old form and now play in this game where the winner owns the division lead ... for now. Jacksonville has had a couple questionable games like barely winning over Arizona two games back, but all of their losses are teams you can see beating them.
Rick's Pick: Jacksonville
Washington Commanders at Minnesota Vikings - Sunday, 1:00pm
That was awkward, Minnesota. Yes, it was a green quarterback pressed into service due to injuries, but the Vikings already looked awkward beforehand. But Washington has had quarterback issues themselves. The main difference is that the Commanders QB's at least have shown they can handle the pressure.
Rick's Pick: Washington
Miami Dolphins at New York Jets - Sunday, 1:00pm, CBS 6 WRGB
The Jets had a nice win over the Atlanta Falcons last week, but could have a harder time keeping the Miami Dolphins at bay.
Rick's Picks: Miami
Cincinnati Bengals at Buffalo Bills - Sunday, 1:00pm, FOX 23 WXXA
The Bills had a great second half against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers but now they have to try to contain a Joe Burrow rejuvenated Cincinnati offense that looked inspired against the Baltimore Ravens. The Bills will need to come out of the locker room at 12:55 ready to play, otherwise they will be pushed into the catch up position that has made them uncomfortable in multiple games over the season. While I believe they can, I can also see a world where Joe Burrow leads the Bengals to the road victory, too.
Rick's Pick: Buffalo
New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Sunday, 1:00pm
Tampa Bay should win their second in a row as they welcome Mike Evans back to the lineup.
Rick's Pick: Tampa Bay
Denver Broncos at Las Vegas Raiders - Sunday, 4:05pm
Denver keeps playing with fire, they had to go to overtime against the Washington Commanders before they emerged with their 10th win of the season. While Las Vegas being a divisional rival could be concerning, I don't think it's enough to stop Bo Nix and company in sin city.
Rick's Pick: Denver
Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals - Sunday, 4:25pm
The Los Angeles Rams may have lost to the Carolina Panthers, but I do not see the Cardinals at this time having enough to overcome the Rams. Maybe if some of the regular starters were back with Arizona ... but even there, Stafford and Nauca will torch the Cardinals.
Rick's Pick: Los Angeles Rams
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers - Sunday, 4:25pm, FOX 23 WXXA
Now this will be a good match. I'm going to go with Green Bay on the basis that the Packers have owned Chicago over the years, and Josh Jacobs looked solid last week in his return to the lineup. Caleb Williams has blossomed and helped Chicago become one of the best NFC teams in 2025, but I feel the home field advantage moves the needle towards the Pack.
Rick's Pick: Green Bay
Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs - Sunday, 8:20pm, NBC 13 WNYT
Houston's defense is on fire, and they've taken a big step up thanks to their divisional win over Indianapolis last week. Kansas City is in a spot they haven't been in over a half decade, and needing to claw up into a playoff spot. The Chiefs will play hard, but the Texans defense can create opportunities. Now if only the Texans had a strong offense to compliment their defense.
Rick's Pick: Houston
Philadelphia Eagles at Los Angeles Chargers - Monday, 8:15pm, ESPN
Philadelphia has some serious problems and if they don't correct them in time, they'll find themselves locked up with a surging Dallas Cowboys squad. The Chargers may be without Justin Herbert and that might help borrow the Eagles some time to figure out their struggles.
Rick's Pick: Philadelphia
