A woman suffered a gun shot wound to her arm through her car window.
It all started when a 53 year old mom had gone to check on her son and was being threatened verbally by the two suspects.
Now, according to the Albany County Sheriff's Office, the woman followed the two men in an attempt to get their license plate number. At some point while she was following them, the two suspects ended up behind the woman and for whatever reason opened fire on her car with a .223 caliber rifle. From what the authorities are saying, several round did hit the woman's car and one of them actually hit her in the arm. One of the other rounds, according to Sheriff Apple, went through her headrest and exited the car through the windshield. The round narrowly missed striking the woman.
The two suspects, Lane Stannard of Berne and Joel Keeny of Medusa are both facing -
- Second-degree attempted murder (felony)
- Fourth-degree conspiracy (felony)
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon (misdemeanor)
