The anticipation is almost over as the Capital Region gets ready to celebrate its first Bass Pro Shop in the area. The new 7000 square foot store located between Clifton Park Center and the Northway will hold its official grand opening on July 30th at 6pm.
Country artist and Hamilton, NY native Blaine Holcomb will be there to perform as well as pro fishing experts including Roland Martin, Jimmy Houston, Chris Johnston, Charlie Evans & Paw Patrol, Kevin Vandam, and Keith Beasley. They'll be signing autographs until 8pm.
The event is also being called 'An Evening for Conservation', where 20% of every dollar will be donated to help local conservation efforts.
Regular hours will begin on July 31st - Monday through Saturday from 9am-9pm, Sunday from 10am-7pm.
Bass Pro Shops announced they would be opening their first area store back in 2023, construction began in the spring of 2024 and has been ongoing.
