Customers with gift cards are being urged to use them by next month
Eddie Bauer customers are being urged to use their gift cards and rewards points before March 12 as the retailer moves through Chapter 11 bankruptcy and begins closing stores across the U.S. and Canada.
According to reporting from the Associated Press, the company is currently liquidating its North American retail locations while searching for a buyer. If a deal isn’t reached, all remaining stores are expected to shut down.
This will impact the Capital Region, with Eddie Bauer locations in Colonie and Lake George confirmed among the stores set to close.
For shoppers, there are a few key things to know:
-
Gift cards and rewards should be used before March 12
-
All sales are final
-
Returns are no longer being accepted
While the stores are closing, the Eddie Bauer brand itself will continue through its online and wholesale business, according to company statements.
