Over 150,000 books are featured
Albany County is hosting an online auction for the former College of Saint Rose's library, featuring over 150,000 books dating back to the 1200s, including works by historic figures like St. Thomas Aquinas and Sir Francis Bacon. Some collections are valued between ten and twenty thousand dollars, with special items donated to UAlbany and the Albany Institute of History and Art. The auction, live for the next three weeks, includes sheet music, artwork, and other artifacts, with proceeds going towards moving the inventory to make room for a new senior center.
