From Sax to Soul—Jazz on Jay Returns June 5th in Downtown Schenectady!
Schenectady’s cherished Jazz on Jay series returns for its 2025 season, infusing downtown with soulful sounds every Thursday from June 5 to August 28. Now held in the beautifully revitalized Jay Square, right across from City Hall, this free midday concert tradition continues to thrive in its 30+ year run, offering a captivating lineup that spans classic, modern, and acoustic fusion jazz. Kicking off with the energetic Dylan Canterbury Quintet and concluding with the acclaimed Chuck Lamb Trio featuring Ria Curley, this year’s performances promise a diverse mix of talent from across the Capital Region and beyond. Concerts run 12–1:30 p.m. weekly, rain or shine—moving indoors to Robb Alley at Proctors if needed.
