2nd Annual Lake George CleanUp is September 15!
Get ready to roll up your sleeves and make a splash in community spirit! The Lake George Association (LGA) is hosting its second annual “Lake George CleanUp” event on Sunday, September 15, and you’re invited to be a part of this vital environmental effort. In partnership with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, the village of Lake George, and the Lake George Waterkeeper, this event aims to protect the pristine waters of Lake George by tackling trash along the shoreline and beneath the surface.
Residents, businesses, and visitors alike are encouraged to join the cleanup crusade to ensure Lake George remains a beautiful and healthy habitat for aquatic plants and wildlife. The Warren County Sheriff’s dive team will lead the charge in removing underwater debris, while volunteers will focus on shoreline cleanup and tidying up their own properties. Whether you’re an avid environmentalist or a casual lake-goer, your participation will make a significant difference!
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to contribute to the beauty and health of Lake George. Volunteers are asked to register online in advance to streamline the process. On the day of the event, in-person registration will kick off at 8:30 a.m. at the village pier in Shepard Park. Best of all, the event is free and open to all ages, with trash removal and safety supplies provided. Come join the movement to keep Lake George sparkling clean and enjoy a rewarding day by the lake!
