So what's next for the legendary bbq joint?
After months of uncertainty, PJ’s BAR-B-QSA has officially closed. Owners PJ and Carolyn Davis made the announcement on July 4 via Facebook, confirming the end of the long-running Saratoga Springs barbecue spot.
The Davis family started the business over 50 years ago as a small catering operation from their garage. It grew into a popular local staple, with the restaurant opening seasonally in 1984 and going year-round in 2012.
The property at 1 Kaydeross Ave West is currently under contract, with the sale expected to finalize in mid-September. While the restaurant is closing, the Davis family is keeping the trademarks, logos, road trip theme, and recipes. They’re open to licensing those elements to anyone interested in continuing the PJ’s legacy.
In a heartfelt message, the family thanked their kids, staff, and loyal customers for the memories, friendship, and support over the decades.
