A Saratoga County man is facing dozens of charges
The Saratoga County Sheriff's Department arrested 29 year old Derrick Sud-Nieves of Halfmoon after a total of 35 dogs were found in his Brookwood Road home on Thursday.
Police went to the home after code enforcement officers were notified of the 'deplorable conditions' the dogs were living in.
Sud-Nieves is facing 35 counts of animal abuse including overdriving, torturing and injuring animals and failure to provide proper sustenance. Police continue to investigate the situation and say more charges could be coming.
The dogs are now being cared for by the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
