Coming together to support that's the Capital Region Way
The Section 2 Special Olympics Unified Basketball teams will compete in the championships at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York, from today until Friday. Over 600 students from 30 schools will participate in semi-final and championship games. Unified Sports brings together individuals with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team to promote inclusivity in schools and the sports community. Special Olympics New York President & CEO, Stacey Hengsterman, encourages the community to support the athletes and partners at the event.
