The shopping center will add a new outdoor area called The Lawn
Work has begun on a new addition to Stuyvesant Plaza, but it won't be a building expansion. The shopping center is adding a new greenspace called 'The Lawn'.
Located outside Jean Paul Spa & Salon, The Lawn will offer 3,000 square feet of turf for visitors to enjoy coffee and meals, as well as provide a space for outdoor summer activities.
This summer at Stuyvesant Plaza promises to be an exciting and festive celebration of sunny days and warm nights with the addition of our new community space,” said Stuyvesant Plaza General Manager Rachel Ferluge. “We are planning to host a robust calendar of outdoor events at The Lawn this summer and fall, including our annual Summer Market. From yoga classes to story hours to live music, The Lawn will offer something for everyone to enjoy.
All stores and shops will remain open during construction, though hours may vary by business.
Stuyvesant Plaza has some tenant changes over the past few months. Two new stores opened this spring, while the popular TGI Fridays closed in January.
