She's the first female trainer to win the Kentucky Derby
It was an incredible Kentucky Derby on Saturday as Golden Tempo came back from dead last to taking the first crown. The horse was facing 23-1 odds going into the race, but trainer and Saratoga native Cherie DeVaux made history in the final stretch.
Cherie is the first ever female trainer to win the Kentucky Derby. On Monday she sat down with the Today Show crew to talk about the victory, growing up in Saratoga, attending U-Albany and hinted at her immediate future with the Preakness and the Belmont just around the corner.
