It's two in a row for Section 2's lone Girls Hockey team
It's Back to Back for Adirondack United.
The girls high school hockey, consisting of members of Glens Falls, Queensbury, South Glens Falls, Corinth, Hudson Falls and Saratoga Springs School Districts, have won consecutive New York State Regional Championships after defeating Skaneateles 3-1 at the Nexus Center in Utica on Saturday.
Skaneateles entered the game at 17-0, and was looking for revenge after Adirondack United skated away to a 6-1 win in the Regional Semifinals last year.

The girls had punched their ticket to the title game after scoring late in the third period in the semifinals against Beekmantown, winning 1-0.
Last year, Adirondack United claimed the State Regional Championship after defeating Section 6's Kenmore/Grand Island, capping a perfect season by winning 7-3. While this season wasn't perfect, the girls held strong through a mid-season three game losing streak that served as a wake-up call.
And wake up, they did.
