A number of emergency teams were brought in to save the man.
A number of emergency crews from surrounding areas were called to the Kaaterskill Falls in Tannersville on Friday morning after an ice climber reportedly fell 30-40 feet. The Times Union Says the 62 year old man fell into the Kaaterskill Clove, a very deep gorge.
A rope team was brought in and the man was eventually carried out on a stretcher. He was taken to Albany Med where he is recovering. No word on the extent of his injuries.
Teams from the Greene County Paramedics, Kingston Fire Department, Haines Falls Fire, Hunter Ambulance, Medics 1 & 9, Palenville Fire, Tannersville Fire, Greene County Sheriff's, and New York Rangers all assisted in the rescue.
