The restaurants are closing after a decade in business
Burger Fi, the national hamburger chain that opened ten years ago in the Capital Region, will be closing both of it's restaurants in Latham and Saratoga.
News 10 reports local franchise owners Bill, Michael and Vincent Lia are choosing not to renew their agreement with the chain. In a statement from Bill Lia:
We’re grateful to our loyal customers and dedicated team members who have supported
us over the years. Their patronage and hard work have been essential to our
journey. While we’re saying goodbye to BurgerFi, we look forward to exploring new
possibilities for these two great locations.
As a company, Burger Fi filed chapter 11 bankruptcy this past September and was delisted from the Nasdaq.
Both Burger Fi location's final day will be December 1st.
