A powerful storm moved through Saratoga County Thursday night bringing quarter-sized hail and damaging wind gusts. Jack Aversa, who lives on Sand Spurrey Road in Malta had just grabbed his phone to take video of the hail, that's when he heard a very loud noise. He tells NewsChannel 13:
I just had the door open in the front and was taking a video, and all of a sudden I heard boom! And then I saw the ceiling come down, and it, my wife was sitting on the couch, so I wanted to try to get her to safety as soon as possible
Aversa says he and his family got out safely, a neighbor called 911 to report the tree down.
