The incident happened Thursday morning
Police in Schenectady issued an alert to parents and teachers after a student said she was approached by a man near Van Corlaer Elementary School. The happened around 7:45 on Thursday morning. The girl said the man asked her uncomfortable questions, after which she immediately told school officials.
Schenectady Police were called to the school and eventually found the man. He is being questioned by representatives from the Youth Aid Bureau of the department. At this point, police say they haven't received any similar reports, but are continuing to investigate.
