Tom Wopat and Dion Pride join Kevin Richards in Glens Falls, NY

 

Nashville entertainment is headed back to the Wood Theater in Glens Falls, NY October 17-19, 2025.  Dubbed ‘Nashville In The North Country’, the 'Close-Up' country concert series welcomes a Tony Award Nominee, Pop Culture Icon and Country Music Royalty.  

Saturday, October 18 Tom Wopat, known as ‘Luke Duke’, rides the General Lee from the Dukes Of Hazzard to hit the stage with his catalog of Country and Broadway Hits.  Sunday, October 19 Charley Pride’s son, Dion Pride, steps in the spotlight to honor the groundbreaking career of his Hall of Fame father.

The event kicks off with a free Community Country Line Dance Party in the Cabaret, at the Wood Theater, on Friday, October 17 hosted by CMA Winner Kevin Richards.

Nashville In The North Country is produced by Kevin Richards’ ‘Close Up’ Country Concert Series.  The showcase launched in 2023 with the mission of putting ‘Throwback’ Country Music singers back in the spotlight, in the cozy settings of the Wood Theater in Glens Falls, NY and The Cohoes Music Hall in Cohoes, NY. CMA Winners, Grammy WInners and Hall of Famers have made the trek to NY, including Randy Travis, Pam Tillis, Kathy Mattea, Ty Herndon, Janie Fricke, T.G. Sheppard, Aaron Tippin, Larry Gatlin, Suzy Bogguss, Billy Dean, Billy Gilman, the son of Conway Twitty: Michael Twitty  and the daughter of George Jones and Tammy Wynette: Georgette Jones!

Nashville In The North Country Fall 2025

Kevin Richards’ Country Dance Party, Friday, October 17, 6:30pm

CMA Winner Kevin Richards, from Big Country 104.9 and Froggy 1003, will host a Free Community Country Line Dance Party in the Cabaret at the Wood Theater. 

Tom Wopat 'Close Up', Saturday, October 18, 7pm

Tom Wopat, "Luke Duke", rides the General Lee to the Wood Theater in Glens Falls, NY. A Multi-Faceted entertainer with 2 Tony nominees for his starring role in Broadway's 'Annie, Get Your Gun' and 'A Catered Affair', brings an afternoon of stories and songs, from his 13 albums, to the intimate stage of the Wood Theater.  The TV and Movie star has graced the world's biggest stages- from Carnegie Hall to the Grand Ole Opry- while appearing in television shows like 'Cybill' 'Longmire' 'Madame Secretary' and the 'County Line' movie trilogy.  Furthermore, the iconic 'Duke Boy' has even appeared in major films- like his favorite role in Quentin Tarantino's 'Django Unchained'. Wopat is the next guest in Kevin Richards' 'Close Up' series- featuring a 'Live On Stage' interview before each show.

Dion Pride 'Close Up', Sunday, October 19, 3pm

Dion Pride, the son of Charley Pride, joins Kevin Richards for songs and stories to honor the groundbreaking career of his legendary father. Dion takes the stage to sing some of his dad's biggest hits, including 'Kiss An Angel Good Morning'. In addition, the afternoon will be full of memories in tribute to the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Winner and Country Music Hall of Famer who is credited as being Country Music's first black superstar! Special guest Laura Roth opens the show with her tribute to the Women Of 'Classic Country'.
