Keeping tabs on the Fort Ann pitcher as he moves up in the Detroit Tigers organization.
UPDATE 8/11: Mattison appeared in the 5th inning for the Toledo Mud Hens, and surrendered two runs in this 2/3rds innings of work which spanned the 5th into the 6th inning. He struck out for the third out to end the Louisville rally. However, his start to the 6th was filled with problems as he gave up back-to-back doubles to lead off the inning. He would get the first out on a fly out to right field, before his afternoon was done as the Mud Hens opted for a strategic pitcher vs. batter match up.
