The historic site was apparently ransacked over the weekend
Update 4/15 3:03pm: The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested three juveniles they believe were involved in the break in. They facing felony charges of criminal mischief and burglary. Their names were not released due to their age.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after vandals ransacked the Hudson River Mill Museum in Corinth. The damage was shared in a video posted by the museum on Facebook.
NewsChannel 13 reports the break-in happened at the museum’s Palmer Avenue location. Glass was smashed, papers were thrown everywhere, file cabinets destroyed, even murals painted on the walls were torn down.
The museum has spent over 40 years collecting local photos, books, and artifacts. Staff believe young people may have been involved in the destruction.
The museum is urging anyone with information to contact authorities as the investigation continues.
